ABSTRACT
Shows an efficent path that researchers schould score in order to recover pertinent
information for their publishing purposes by means of identifying the involved elements:
a) academic databases and googles; b) building up a linguistic storm. Results are
presented.
DEFINITIONS
LITERACY
Reading and writing in context.
“…the development of a complex set of
critical skills that allow people to
express, explore, question, communicate
and understand the flow of ideas among
individuals and groups in quickly
changing technological environments.
UNESCO REPORT, 2006. Education for All Global Monitoring Report,
chapter VI, Understanding of literacy.
PARADIGM
A set of assumptions, concepts, values,
and practices that constitutes a way of
viewing reality for the community that
shares them, especially in an intellectual
discipline.

THE LINGUISTIC STORM
Consists of a controlled vocabulary matrix.
Ss must take (+-) three keywords from their
sentence to create a linguistic storm by using a
thesaurus (from the database or some other lingustic
source) to obtain the controlled vocabulary, and
enssure effectiveness in their search.
Let us see an example:

THE LINGUISTIC STORM
“This paper describes the isolation of antifungal
compounds from the endophyte Nodulisporium sp.

RESULTS
Workshop (8 hours)
20 Ss gave their positive opinions.
“Publish Your Research” Workshop
More than 50 Ss published their articles
in indexed journals, including Impact
Factor score.
The tools provided along this workshop
have been quite useful in such a way
that I am sure I will end well my research
work and get my object-goal, get my
degree in this year.
